At Stamford, we are fortunate to be able to offer courses that lead to 3 post secondary destinations: college, university and the workplace.

Essential English in grade 9 leads to Workplace courses in senior English and is suitable for students who are planning to enter the world of work directly after high school.

Applied English in grade 9 leads to College courses in senior English and is suitable for students who are planning to enter a community college or an apprenticeship after high school.

Academic level English in grade 9 leads to University courses in senior English and is suitable for students who are planning to attend university after high school .

In order to help facilitate your course selection, we present a selection of student work below, along with a description of the assignment and an explanation of what features make it characteristic of the respective destination streams.
